The Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) announces, via its Endowment for the National Arts, the SAMRO Music Bursaries for 2012.
These Bursaries are the most substantial awards in music study in Southern Africa. Bursaries are open to citizens of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.  Applicants should be registered for a music degree/ diploma at a South African University in 2012.
The following bursaries are on offer:
1. General Music Study (R10 000 each) available to students in their 1st and 2nd years

		<description><![CDATA[This is day three of our sectionals as part of the National Youth Wind Orchestra course in Port Elizabeth. The sun is shining and the beach is calling, but 57 young musicians are sweating it out to get their heads and fingers around our varied and exciting programme.
Our tutors have come from across the country and the globe to share their knowledge and love for music, and it has been an incredible information and noise exchange!
