WHAT WE DO WITH OUR FUNDING

Our training pathway has been created to nurture the musical development of South Africa’s finest young musicians, from emerging gifted school-age students to those on the verge of a professional career. Our faculty is sourced from the best orchestras across South Africa and the world and along the way our concerts bring delight to thousands. We work to improve training around every aspect of running and playing in an orchestra.

CSI & CORPORATE

We believe in our country in all of her diversity – and just like an orchestra has different instruments, we have different cultures – we know that participation in a youth orchestra programme teaches collaboration, tolerance and the spirit of social cohesion in the best possible way – by sharing a common, musical experience. Our students go on to fill 70% of the positions in South African orchestras and enrich the nation’s musical landscape.

DONATION AND CSI PACKAGES
SUPPORT OUR BURSARY FUND

As our young musicians come from different backgrounds, for about 50% of them, their participation in our courses is only made possible by our bursary fund. We dont want any geographical, cultural or financial barriers to get in the way of our young artists’ development.
We provide bursaries for participation in our programmes, acquiring quality instruments where necessary, furthering their music education, and facilitate international music exchanges. 100+ beneficiaries generally need assistance each year.

SUPPORTING A YOUNG MUSICIAN

As a sponsor you receive these benefits:

A personal connection with the musician that you sponsor
Tickets to National Youth Orchestra concerts
Your name printed in the programme and on our onlie platforms (for a year)
